Only put your user name and password after downloading the” Softphone” software and start calling. For SIP machines i.e “LINKSYS” need to be programmed before making calls.
Don’t Forget
To check your computer is powered on first then connects it to the internet from your Broadband or Wi-Fi devises to connect to the Net. If you are using the SoftPhone and have already installed it all you need to do is logging and you can make call afterwards.
On the other hand if you are using VOIP devices like Linksys, make sure to plug in the power cable first, then the Ethernet and connect your telephone cables to one of the Telephone Ports available for use properly, check if there dial tone is coming through to your telephone receiver. One you hear the dial tone you can make calls immediately.
